fade away...
the first few hours of 2009

Hello everyone~!!!

New Year is here and I'm extremely happy. I really hope we'll have an awesome time ahead with lots of luck and happiness. The financial collapse has been a bitch recently and in 2009 it'd better go away to some other planets hehe. What are your plans for 2009? I don't have a to do list but my priorities are: to get nice grades, to stay strong and healthy, to read and write more and to make my loved ones happy =D

So my last few days of 2008 were really great, and I thought I should share with you all. Firstly, VN won the AFF cup, which was a soccer tournament for SouthEast Asians countries and it was like our first time after 49 years. I was so so happy and proud of our guys, last Sunday, the whole country went out to celebrate. Even though I was at home, it was such a great feeling seeing the red flags all over the streets.

Have a look at these pics

And guess what, I passed my P.E finals. It was crazy, 800m lap was so much for me, but hey I did finish it (just don't know how much it took cos the teacher said whoever completed the lap without collapsing would pass). I kinda liked how it felt though. I was so out of breath at the 550m and my body was like STOP STOP STOP but my brain went Amber fighting!!!! And I made it! After that all of the girls were like =.= we felt like we were half paralyzed T____T

The next great thing was Marc Levy replying my mail! WOOHOOO~!!! I was taken back, I never though he would and he even said my words touched him. My mail to him was super long, I'd post up once I remembered where I left the draft ^^ I'm gonna buy more books of Marc and read and write to him again. This is super fun.

Well Dec 31st must be the most memorable one to me because so many cool things happened. In the morning I finished my Math test with nice job (it stressed me out you know, I hate Math!!!) and when I returned home I saw MKMF package. Well, the gift wasn't actually very special. They sent me a notebook, huge one with MKMF logo and a few pictures of last year show (there was a tiny GD on his knees kissing the dancer's hand). I was expecting something like poster but I'm satisfied cos I love stationaries. You already knew what made the evening great right? TEDDY! HIs performance was awesome, I wish he would stay a lil bit longer tho, it was so short, so damn short. Nai thought he looked slimmer and yup, healthier too ^^ oppa is always fresh and clean and cocky and, ehem, too hot to handle.

If you have not watched the perf or wanted a better quality of the vid click here to download

Okay, one last thing, Amber won a book!!!!!!!!!!! Surprised, surprised? I am too. The Buzz Girls (a group of YA author) had a special giveaway where all you needed to do was to comment wishing everyone a happy holidays as much as you can and I left like 50 replies hahahah. I was the one with most wishes in diff languages (thanks to Google Translation) so the author picked me. The book was about a gangster trying to find his way out to the good and he met, fell in love with a girl, and redeemed himself with her help. Look at the lovely cover!

I actually had a nice time at Christmas ^^ on Christmas eve Vietnam won over Thailand 2-1 so people doubly celebrated and our colour was red so the city sky was like...on fire. My Dad didn't let me go out but it was cool seeing pictures, every enjoyed themselves. In the next morning I got to hang around with Debbie. We did nothing much except going to the movies, then to church and the icecream shop. No more cooking this time because we were afraid there would be another mess to clean up T___T Oh and the movie we saw, Four Christmas, was hilarious. That was the first time I went to the movies and thank god the room was half empty so I could laugh/ramble as much as I can (you know, most of the ones who went there chose to see Twilight so yeah)

How was your Christmas? Did you receive many presents? I got nothing so I'm really looking forward to Tet holidays hahah. I'm jealous seeing people getting 3263544656467463 great things.

Nai wrote this oneshot for me because she was my secret santa at Ficlics ;)

Loose Strings

Seung Ri rolled the sleeves of his black dress shirt up midway to his elbow and leaned back in his seat. A cigarette suspended from the left side of his mouth, near finished, ashes dropping onto his previously spotless shirt. His phone buzzed at his side and he ignored it, his main focus was to keep Amber the main focus. She had been on his radar all night; morning was sure to rise any hour now. To spend half his time there without acknowledging her presence was no easy task.

Dae Sung slid into the seat next to Seung Ri, grasping a bottle of vodka in his right hand and offered a glass. Seung Ri shot his friend a dismissive glare as he held up a hand to reject the drink. “I’m on probation, remember?”

Upon being denied, Dae Sung followed Seung Ri’s gaze to the opposite end of the room and zeroed in on Amber. He nodded his chin towards a guy surrounding her, whom to Seung Ri's dismay, had been leeching onto her as soon as the party started six hours ago. "If she had a fan club, I'm sure you'll be the President, dude," he said, keenly aware of where his friend's eyes had been stuck on all evening.

“Looks to me like that spot’s already taken.”

"I beg to differ." Kicking up his legs, Dae Sung propped them on the glass table before the two. Slurping at his glass, he continued, "She told me to tell you hi."

Seung Ri remained undisturbed, taking the cigarette out of his mouth and throwing it onto the table. "And when did this take place?"

"Like five hours ago."

"Then why the fuck are you just telling me this now?"

"Well, if you must really know---"

Turning to face his buddy, Seung Ri glared at him. "Stop with your annoying, lame ass talks, Dae Sung because yes, I must really fucking know."

"We all placed a bet on you two tonight."

"And who the fuck is this 'we' that you speak of?"

"Well, I tried my best to get everybody to join in, you know? The more the merrier and all," Dae Sung explained, bobbing his head around as he spoke. "At the end, though, only Tempo, Baek Kyoung, GD, Teddy, Wu, Dong Wook, and I ended up putting money in."

"How much?"

"Ten dollars each. The bet was simple, really... nothing too farfetched. We just placed money on what time we thought you would get over your pride and go talk to Amber. I placed my money on the hour between midnight and 1 AM," Dae Sung grinned. He tapped the diamond-encrusted watch at his left wrist. "Guess what time it is, Seung Ri?"

"Get out of my face, Dae Sung. Just because of that, I'm not going talk to her until after 1 AM."

"Which means Tempo will end up getting the money, then."

Seung Ri rolled his eyes before straightening himself up. He faced his body in Amber's direction, watching her feign interest in what the lames with her had to say. "What time does the bet end?"

"At 2 AM."

"Tempo's the last one?"

Dae Sung nodded.

"Alright then. I‘ll talk to Amber after 2."

"Fuck, Seung Ri. You’re always trying to cock block..." Dae Sung grumbled and stood up. "I know you're not going to last much longer, though. So I'm gonna go over there now and try to switch times with Tempo. His ass is gullible as fuck." He laughed.

Shaking his head, more in amusement than disbelief, Seung Ri ceased as he felt his phone vibrating once more against his ribs. Reaching a hand into his inside pocket to finally retrieve his phone, he glanced up in surprise. The sender's number was not saved in his system, but it consisted of digits he remembered by heart.

Are you going to really let this silly bet keep you from talking to me?

Amber stared back at Seung Ri, her own phone clutched between her nails behind her back. Her gaze drifted back to the guy speaking to her as she absently nodded, the corner of her eyes meeting Seung Ri's knowingly.

He texted her back:

What are you talking about?

Even though he knew exactly was she was talking about. He always did.

"Who are you texting?" A chirpy Ha Nee plopped down next to Seung Ri. He looked her with a blank expression and shrugged, putting away his phone.

Besides her joined Tekkie. He kept an arm tight around her body and nodded to Seung Ri. "How do you like your homecoming bash?" he asked.

Glancing at Amber shortly, Seung Ri muttered, "The pen was better, if you want the honest truth."

Tekkie grimaced. "Hey, considering the fact that we didn’t even know you were being released from jail until three days ago, I think I did a hell of a job.” Looking around the pub, he pointed at the different food and drinks, naming them off one by one. “There are a variety of things here, as you can see.”

“I don’t give a fuck about the food, idiot,” Seung Ri quickly replied. He pointed a fresh cigarette in the direction of the guy with Amber. “Tekkie, who the hell is that fucker?”

Ha Nee jumped in. “Joon Kyung’s my co-worker, Seung Ri.”

“You invited that fucker?” he laughed. “Does he know what kind of shit he’s getting into it---messing with my girl?”

“She’s not your girl anymore, Seung Ri.”

“Says who?” He lit his cigarette.

Tekkie didn’t want to be the one who broke the news, but he knew no one else would have the audacity to hand it to Seung Ri. “Says the ring Joon Kyung gave her." Hurriedly and flushed-face, he continued, “That guy is her fiancé. He’s been so for seven months now.”

“They’re getting married next week," Ha Nee filled in.

Seung Ri sat up straighter in his seat and exhaled, a puff of tobacco escaping his mouth into the drunken atmosphere in front of him. He eyed Amber, knowing that she knew very well he was eyeing her and to his disgust, he continued staring at her. Similar to the very first moment in which he had ever seen her face, he still could not tear himself away. “So she lied to me, then.”

“You never kept your end of the promise either, Seung Ri.”

He glared at Ha Nee. “I never promised her anything and she knew that.”

“That’s kind of selfish of you to be angry at her for not waiting when you never planned on doing so yourself, don’t you think?”

After pouring himself a drink, Tekkie slipped into the obscure shadows between the conversation. He wanted nothing to do with the words being exchanged and hoped that he would not have to add his two cents in, highly aware of both the relationship and friendship currently on the line.

“No, I don’t think so, Ha Nee.” Seung Ri pressed his lips tightly when he got to the end of the statement. A certain hostility punctuated her name, the kind that the penitentiary counselors tried to teach him to suppress. In a swift move, he grabbed the cigarette out of his mouth and chucked it onto the floor. Standing up, he looked down at the couple. “I'm going to tell you two ahead of time: cough up your ten dollars to Dae Sung.”

“What?”

He looked at his friend’s girlfriend. “I’m going to talk to Amber now, Ha Nee. Dae Sung can win his damn bet tonight.”

Ha Nee sprang to her heel and placed a firm hand on Seung Ri’s elbow. The two of them looked over at Amber and her fiancé, the pair subdued on a loveseat merely yards away. “You and she had seven years, Seung Ri. Three years of you not committing, two years of you running from the law, and two years of being punished in the law… all seven of which she stood by your side, but you took her for granted and played with this relationship like a cliché metaphor. She’s not a cracked heart nor is she a wave coming in for you. She’s a person with a heart, a heart that you fucking played with for seven years and if you would have recognized this earlier, those years would not now be over. It's over.”

“I want to hear it from her.”

“For God's sake, she’s engaged, Seung Ri!”

“Fuck that kid Joon Kyung,” he spat out. “He doesn’t love her the way I love her.”

“You’re right, becasue he loves her more and he loves her better than you ever did.”

Afraid that he just might slap her, or even worse, Seung Ri broke free of Ha Nee’s hold and raced out the door, where he had just seen Amber exiting. He followed her, close and steady, waiting for her to feel him behind her.

Her pace came to a calm stop as she spoke without glancing back. How desperate he was to see her face. “I take it that you know about Joon Kyung and I now.”

Seung Ri fumbled with his words. “Why did you text me if you---Amber! I came… I came out for you.”

She smiled unbeknownst to him, but it was a stiff smile, the kind given away when one received what one no longer wanted. “You told me the first time they ever locked you up that you were going to marry me, remember? That was four years ago.”

He held his breath, his eyes zooming in on the loose string dangling down the middle of her back. Her dress was cut provocatively low, ending centimeters from her tailbone. A ring was eloquently attached to the end of the string, explaining why even after all that time spent watching her, he did not remember a glint of diamond on her left hand. It was behind her all this time.

Upon that revelation, he felt betrayed. Anger grew next but the thought of his heart destructed by the hand belonging to a woman he destroyed once before baffled him.

Shaking his head, he admitted, “No, I’m sorry. I do not remember, Amber.”

“Not that I expected anything more of you, Lee Seung Ri.”

He mumbled a final apology, one that fell deaf upon her ears. She heard what he was saying. She really did. The unfortunate thing was: his confession of love and apologetic whimpers were now in a language she no longer spoke.

Thanks so much for this baby. Seriously, I wanna bite you, because even though you told me beforehand that this would be sad, I never expected it to end that way. I mean, I thought you'd let me leave Seung Hyun but all alone. It's sad, so sad. Seems like even at the end Seung Hyun didn't even know what he had done wrong, he was just heartbroken and felt betrayed because she left so suddenly, which was T.T He was such a coward, why didn't he pull her back. Engagement is really nothing (not that Dokki doesn't matter though lol). I think I should hate my hubby in this but I only feel bad for everyone of them. I wonder what Dokki thought about this hahah, he was silent all the time. Actually, he's more suited to be a bad guy ;D Anywho I love this!!! Who else would put me in a fic with Seung Hyun and Dokki like Nai hey? *HUGS* You made my day baby, and how dare you said it was bad!!! It was just sad and I love sad stuff. Amber is weird like this hahaha.

I'mma have a present for you too *winks* let see how I can manage to finish it in two days.
Love you ^^

I feel like I've not blogged forever T____T I miss blogging too much but I don't have much time and I'm so lazy (bite me!!)

Okay so today Sophia unnie posted the picture of the book I won a fortnight ago and I want to show off, so I'mma repost them here. I'm kinda surprised cos it's a hardcover (at least it looks so ^^) and it's signed too. Not a big deal but it makes me feel closer to author you know, I'm weird like that. The book is called Love, Meg and it's about a girl finding her family and going through a lot of problems. I heard that it was kinda like Sarah Dessen's Just Listen, which, according to the readers, is very nice.

Well, I also finished my secret santa one shot today. Let me tell you this, it's simply crazy. I had a hard time trying to think out something that would go with the lyrics of the song I chose from the pile but I couldn't. Fortunately I got some muse from the song title, so I just went with it, nothing really related to the lyrics. I hope the girl don't mind having a lame oneshot as a Xmas present. I did my best though. It was like 4000 words or more (I'm kinda proud hahaha). After the secret santas at ficlics are all revealed I'm gonna post the story here so you can see how sucky it is T.T. It's overemotional sometimes, I may have to fix a bit later, the deadline is tmr tho, so basically I don't have much time. Blame me for procrastinating >_<

Speaking of fictions I'm so depressed. I want to write so much but everytime I get to the comp there's something else to do, I can't resist chatting, blogging, reading books and online magazines. I need a schedule for this I think. I'm going to wait until I finish all the finals with nice grades so I can put all of my mind on writing but here's what I've planned so far. Firstly, I'mma start writing the joint fic with Nai, we'll have like 10 days off so if we pull our weight we can get 3 chapters finished or more (hopefully). I'm so excited for this because it's the first time we've written something together, lots of fun stuff and dramas coming soon too ^^ And after this I'll get to write something for Some Kind Of Art. The readers left comments at my thread asking when I'm going to update and that makes me feel bad, since I left the story off with a cliff hanger and I had fun writing it so I'd better continue. Lastly, I'll write my "serious" fics. Pure novels, original characters too. It's time to get to real work. I had in my mind so far fiour plots which are: Ordinary Miracle, I Owe You..., Into Love, Hope & Sunshine. There're three more but I don't think I can write without researching a lot first, one of it is about Highland, VN ; ) I love this place because it's really cool and beautiful, it's the most romantic place in my country I think. There you can find a lot of flowers, love legends and haunted houses too *laughs evilly*. Well, just that, wish me luck because it's tough to write. Oh and one more thing, I'm joing RandomBuzzers and will start to write book reviews, I want to try this because it's fun and if I'm any good I can win advance review copies of lots of cool books. Join me if you like.

The last thing to talk about today is anime/manga!!! I fall in love with Air Gear already. Actually I hate a lot of things about it, esp the fact that I don't quite understand how the air trecks work and what their competitions are for. But I like Ringo and Ikki's relationship ^^ Idk why but even though ppl say that Ringo turned weird I still like her a lot because she's so in love with Ikki (again, unrequited love =.=) It's really cute when she kissed him before he left, but sadly he didn't feel anything special about it. I hope in the last battle he'll pull her back to the good side, she's naturally good tho. I feel sorry for her when her teammates keep saying that Ikki won't need her anymore. Grr idiots!

And well, I have to blog about Slam Dunk too. That manga rocks. I usually watch stuff that involves romance but this sport anime just got me hooked. I so love their spirit, their determination to win and their passion for basketball. Hanamichi sounds like a dummy but he's really into it and he plays with all his heart. I like Takanori too because he looks like a gorilla everytime he makes a rebound. But the king, after all, is Kaede *squeals like a fangirl*. He's so cool, just the type typical girls like me would love to have. At first he seemed to be really cold and concentrative, he hardly speaks at all. Then later I find out that he's really silly. When Ryonan high coach asked him if he wanted to join the team he said he would come to Shohoku and everyone who said the same thing before explained that they liked Anzai coach but Kaede said "it's near my house" with a funny expression. It's so cute. Watch it if you have time, it's a nice anime for those who love basketball.

That's it for now. I gotta go take a nap *yawns*

For Nai

Well i read the blog you gave me last night...it was hella long, at first I didn't think I could finish it all at once. But I changed my mind after reading a first few lines. It does not sound pathetic, it's honest and heartfelt. Trust me. Maybe you think it's so depressing to say or write down stuff like this because normally you're strong like nothing can attach you and bring you down at all; yet to me, this side of you is so nice and it needs to be shown.

The story about you and Brian is like...a movie. I don't know why but I just feel that. I really wanna cry right now after figuring out everything you've been through. Last time when you told me you wish you could have gotten rid of all those scars to love again I said something stupid like "don't worry and don't hesitate to love" because I didn't know such things. It was so scary you remembered what happened between you guys this correctly, like after all these years nothing have changed at all, and nothing as in your heart and your feelings. You know, some can recall how they met, how they fell in love but they don't keep in mind all the details about the clothes, the gestures, the voice, the exact words. It's love, I guess. Sometimes along the lines I feel like you're taking words out of my mouth too, I went through the same things, you know, but at a lower level. Like when you said how you guys accidentally touched and you squealed inside, how you were self-conscious when you were next to him and how happy and excited you got just because he was in the same room...and when he was there, beside you, things were like a dream.

It's kinda selfish and unreasonable to say this but I'm jealous of you, sister. Even though it seems to have hurt you so much, I want to be in this kind of relationship too. All the moments you guys shared were so precious, so beautiful, sad or happy, awkward or comfortable. I want to be like you; remember random things about him, go mad at yourself because you forget his middle name, smile for him, cry about him, and feel his love, which, sometimes is so real sometimes not. You take every single thing about him seriously and you appreciate it, that's why it's so hard to move on. Well, when you love someone so much, you become weak, then pathetic, then unable to let go. Because letting go of him is not just letting go of somebody, but denying all the person you have given everything too. It's like denying the love you tried your best to grow and protect, denying the past you cannot live without. If it were me, I'd not forget him either. Just look at the long post you wrote. It was a long time, a long progress of love. How could we ever agree to erase it all?

You loved Brian a lot didn't you? A person who made you go all emotional and week like that wasn't just someone you had a crush on. I think he loved you too, judging from the your conversations and the jealousy thing. But I have a feeling that he doesn't love you as much as you love him. You want to give him everything, but you're simply the girl he loves to be with, someone special but not like the first of everything. Maybe it's not true, but that's the impression I got. If only Brian had tried harder, things would have ended another way. Seems like you guys have held back a lot from each other. Because you got upset about the story your friend made up meant you didn't feel safe with Brian, same for him since he was jealous of a lot of guys. But, above all, your love was beautiful. You should be happy because not like everyone have this kind of thing to hold on and cherish, even though it didn't go real far.

I just hope that in the future whenever you think of him, you'll smile, not cry. Do you think he'll come back for you? I wish that would happen ^^ otherwise, the real prince would come and take you away hahaha. You know, I still believe in "the one" after finding out how painful your love is.

Don't forget Brian okay? But don't lock yourself in the past either. Someone's there waiting to meet you, whoever he is. My dongsaeng deserves the best<3

happy birthday hubby!!!

I love you to death but I'll come back later cos there's law test waiting to be prepared for =.=

Hehee so your wifey is back, are you happy? Of course you're not cos you won't never be able to read this entry. But it's okay. Since I cannot wish you a happy birthday directly I'll just pour my thoughts here.

I hope they'll let you off work for today. It's a Friday so there won't be many activities (I guess) and the guys may be holding a surprise party for you with the fans too ^^ I wonder how many of the fans will come and how many cakes, balloons, cards and presents they'll bring along for you...are you excited? I am , how weird. I wish I could be there to join the fun with everyone. Are you coming home for a small get-together as well? You should cos it's the time to be with family.

You're 18 now which means we've been together (just on my mind T.T) for more than two years hey? it's amazing that you never changed. No I don't mean styles and the likes. It's just everytime I look at you I always see the cuteness glowing, and of course, the love for dancing and being on stage too. Thanks for that Seung Hyun. Keep on trying and being yourself no matter what happens (but please cut out all the thoughtless sayings =.=). I'll be by your side and love you<333

Have an awesome birthday and all your wishes come true today.

I got my hair cut today ^^ it looks different from my old one...I actually have had the same hairstyles over the years so it feels good changing. I'm not really happy or something but I'm glad my head is lighter, less hair you know. I'll take pics if I'm not lazy ;)

I'm so exhausted this week. Uni is wearing me out. Honestly, what's with all the crazy tests, esp gym class? I can't believe we have like five tests out of ten classes this month, one on papers and four outdoors, like wtf, are we really Banking students, or professional trainers and trainees? >_< Stupid stupid stupid. I swear, if I fail, I won't make a fuss over it, won't stress over it like the teachers wish us to be. The most important thing is to get good grades in Math classes. I don't like the teachers, they're so careless and tend to make things more complicated that they should be. Like last time I went to Analytic class and asked the teacher to help me solve this puzzle because I tried so hard but still got the wrong answer and he was like waving me off just for he had to go somewhere. GRRR!

Okay this post is not for ranting (I rant so much these days that it becomes a habit =.=). I wanna talk about the nice things that I received this week. First off was lil pressie from Ann. She bought me two lovely tees from Oz and they were so cool. One has this "PEACE/LOVE/GREEN" letters on it with a yellow cute thingy that looks like a chick, and one has two characters that I once saw on Sari unnie's avi, you know, the black guy and the pink girl ^^. Abigail sent me Christmas present too. I was very surprised to see it arriving so soon (thought it was MKMF gift when I received the notification). The card was awesome. I cracked up so much because when you opened it, you'd hear the wear sounds from the throat when you gulped down something, esp the beer. It sounded so real haha. And then there was the noel calendar, which was like a countdown to Christmas. I hung it up and put notes into each small bags of each day too. She also wrote me a long letter using normal paper from her notebook asking when I'm gonna go there so she can pick on me again ;D silly girl. The last thing I received was a book. Guess what? Amber WON a book from FreebookFriday Teens. I'm so happy, it's the second week and I already won something. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw Thao Tran in the winner list ^^ I never won a book before T___T it's so great. I hope I'll win more in the future so I can send them to my lovelies.

Oh and one more happening that warmed my heart. I saw one of my childhood friend two days ago. He came to me and asked if my name was this, I lived in that and I nodded nodded nodded and then he told me his name and OMG that was one of the kids that got the same tutor with me in primary school. How amazing!!!

Me and Debbie have already signed up at Meg Cabot site to win the Princess Diaries set. It looks so damn cool, imagine one beautiful day Meg Cabot sent those 10 books to you in a great box *dies*.
I'm a bit hopeless about those contests held on blogspot book sites, most of the current winners are book reviewers and the likes. T____T
